CONTROLS:

- Choose from 5 options the wavelength of the microwave to be studied.
- Press the VIEW METER button to see the signal strength on the detector.
- The left slider allows you to move the Partial Reflector 1. Two buttons allow a fine control of the position.
- The right slider allows you to move the Partial Reflector 2. Two buttons allow a fine control of the position.
- Click on SHOW RULER to get a ruler that can be moved to the desired position.

DESCRIPTION OF THE SIMULATION:

This simulation allows the study of the Fabry-Perot interferometer for the determination of the microwave wavelength. Two partial reflectors are placed between a microwave emitter and a detector. By varying the distance between the partial reflectors, it is possible to identify the relative positions for which there is constructive interference and the relative positions for which there is destructive interference. This is possible by observing the signal intensity in the detector. A ruler allows the measurement of the relative positions of the partial reflectors.
